Had some nice chats, with a bonus petting of his adorable cockapoo Betsy. Then he gave me some very generous discounts to boot! (Or to shoe?)! Ledge, thanks so much!

My husband bought 2 pairs of shoes.

The lady in the shop was knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions we had.
We were particularly interested in shoes that can help my husband with his balance while walking.

Even though the shop is small we didn’t feel intimidated. The atmosphere was friendly with a few jokes exchanged.

This is a brilliant shop. I bought a new pair of boots there today and won't go anywhere else from now on. Don't even think about shopping for boots online or going to one of those chains (you know who I mean) where the shop assistants don't really know one boot from the other. The service was patient, really well-informed, and helpful. I've left with the most comfortable pair of boots I've had on my feet for years.

I cannot recommend this shop enough. Well worth the hours journey to get there.
My wife bought a pair of walking boots from here about two years ago and found the staff helpful and knowledgeable. Their advice was spot on and my wife is so happy to have have found just the right boot.
So when I needed a new pair of boots for myself and because of Covid I gave the shop a phone on a couple of occasions. Lee and James couldn't have been more helpful, unfortunately the particular boot I wanted was no longer available but they helped me with some suggestions and told me what they had in stock and sizes available.
I drove to the shop today and saw James. He was again very helpful and knowledgeable and assisted me in buying a pair of walking boots I'm sure I will be as happy with as my wife is with hers.

Today was the first time we’ve visited this brilliant little shop. And we will be returning! Absolutely awesome service and a great range of outdoor gear from a carefully curated range of brands. I’m so pleased independent shops like this still exist. You won’t get the care and product knowledge anywhere else. Highly recommended.
