I recently discovered this gem of a shop! I went in for some hiking gear and was greeted pleasantly and treated like I was the most important person to ever walk through the doors. The lady behind the counter helped me to find what I needed and explained all that I needed to know about the equipment I was looking at so I could make an educated decision about what to purchase. She was so helpful and friendly and I greatly enjoyed shopping here and will definitely return! I highly recommend this store and their high quality merchandise. Getting to handle the equipment and “try it out” is so much better than buying online!

Really great sporting goods store. I’ve been in a couple times and found exactly what I needed each time. Staff is knowledgeable friendly and answered all my questions and showed me quality products at both premium and value price points. I’ll go back for all my sporting needs.

Excellent, knowledgeable service and quality products. The store is not a big box store. The products seem to have been chosen with care and the owners and staff are very knowledgeable about the pro's and con's of each.
I received excellent assistance in choosing a water purification solution, insect repellent, hiking boots for SE Asia, and a backpack I've been looking for for 3 years.
Gear for Adventure had some nice clothing options too. I restrained myself this visit but I'm looking forward to my next trip.

Awesome outdoors store with disc golf discs. I rented kayaks from them this weekend and they are super helpful and friendly and prices are very reasonable. I always go here for anything outdoors related.

solid folks, good advice, variety of equipment at many price points. I appreciate that they don't sell garbage. They really try to stock things that will hold up and perform well no matter the use. They have a huge disc golf section, too. Saved me a trip to REI and honestly I got a better deal on most of the things here at gfa. The owner and her staff were really nice. They have a decent sale rack. I will be back often to support this local business!!
