It’s a con job.
I bought this jacket, actually it was given to me in May for a birthday present. I was taken to the Arc’teryx store in Brea, which at the time was the closest location to my house. They didn’t have any suitable jackets in, that I wanted, because it was May and it wasn’t cold anymore. I told the sales person what I wanted and they said they knew the exact jacket for me. So when I ordered it and they said if it didn’t work out, I could return it when the store nearby me, in Newport Beach, opened in the near future. They didn’t tell me a timeframe when it would open, or a timeframe by which I needed to return it.
The jacket came a few weeks later, and again, the weather was warm so I didn’t wear it until recently. Recently, some chilly weather, not cold, just brisk, came to my area and I was able to try the jacket in brisk weather. The jacket does not provide warmth at all. It’s also not rainproof. So why would I need this jacket.
Recently an Arc’teryx location opened near me at Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach. It opened about four months after I purchased the jacket. Today I took the jacket back, as the sales person in Brea told me I could, to the new location near me. I explained the situation to the sales person at the fashion Island store and he told me right away that they couldn’t do anything for me. It had passed the 30 day timeframe in which I could return the jacket and I was out of luck. I asked if I could return it for Credit and get something else, he said no there’s nothing they could do.
It’s a terrible jacket, and cost a lot of money as you can see on the price tag. I do not recommend the jacket. Furthermore, I don’t recommend shopping at Arc’teryx stores. REI has the same products, with a decent return policy, and they care about their customers, which are Arc’teryx does not seem to do.
I give two stars, rather than one, because I think the sales person in Brea meant well.

Can't speak highly enough about this store and the folks who work there.
Stopped by on my birthday as a treat and was not left wanting.

The shop is clean, well lit, and stocked with a great range of Arcteryx gear. You can tell the people who work here take a lot of pride in their store and it shows.

Low pressure presence from the staff member helping me, sociable engagement but not pandering, was at the ready when I had questions around specific items. If something wasn't available, my guy was willing and able to order it for me online.

Couldn't be happier with the store and the service I received, looking forward to going back when I've got some more disposable income available!

Many sizes are out of stock. Cannot find a suitable size. They forgot to remove the magnetic tag from the clothes. The customer service is indifferent.

This place is rather large and clean.
